Married to wife Chiquita and has 4 children, Nedra who is 20, twins Rochelle and Rodney II who are 18 and Tahnaj who is 7. Rodney II signed a full scholarship to play football at Old Dominion University.

Graduated from Tulane University in 1989 with a B.S. in Physical Education & Sports Administration.
